Clean It Out
When storing your RV or travel trailer, the first thing you’ll want to do is clean it out. You should do a deep clean that includes an exterior wash to remove dirt and grime, wipe down and vacuum the interior, remove any leftover food that might entice critters, drain all fluids, winterize if needed, and open the vents to allow airflow and prevent mold and mildew.
This crucial step will ensure that when your RV comes out of storage for the next road trip, it’s in tip-top shape and doesn’t have any musty (or worse) smells.
