PACKING TIPS

  • USE SUITABLE BOXES

Use strong boxes and containers that can be secured tightly. Purchase special boxes for dishes and wardrobe to protect your items from damage. Avoid loading more than 50 pounds into one box.

  • LABEL APPROPRIATELY

Label each box and indicate: which room it should go in, whether it is fragile and if it should be loaded last so that it will be unloaded first.

  • LARGE ELECTRONICS

Pack audio-video equipment in their original boxes whenever possible. Label cables and either tighten transit screws or tape them to the objects they are removed from.

  • LEAVE A PASSAGE

When unloading your belongings into the storage unit, ensure you leave a walkway so that you can access items in the rear of the unit without having to relocate items further forward.

  • ADD EXTRA PROTECTION

Cushion contents with packing material such as bubble wrap or newspaper. Save room by using towels and blankets to wrap fragile items.

  • EMPTY ANY FUEL

Fuel or flammable materials are not safe to store in our facilities. Please empty any containers housing dangerous or flammable materials prior to storing.
